Poem reads:
He was a crow black Prince,
Born from mist,
And misery,
And murky feathers.
Lustful for cruelty,
and the virtue of a young maiden's virginity.
Crowned the King of Fools by
The fae and the folk,
The foolish and the damned,
The seelie and unseelie.
The cruel Prince now the wicked King,
Ravenous for barters
and bargains and begotten solitude.
How can I love this thing that I hate?
When the thing that I hate breathes fire
into my belly,
my loins,
my ill-behaved depravity.
I must be drunk on faerie fruit
and fairytale notions if I am in love with the boy who mocks my humanity.
The crow like Prince,
Forged from some divine fire
Was both the man I wanted and feared.
You, my dastardly Prince,
My brutish King,
Are my means to an end.
You are my dearest punishment.
